In 2021, Luxembourg issued commemorative coins in honour of two important events in the history of the monarchy. The first commemorates the 40th wedding anniversary of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, symbolising the stability and continuity of the Luxembourg dynasty. The second coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Grand Duke Jean, who was a respected ruler and made a significant contribution to the country’s modern development.
The proof set contains all Luxembourg euro coins from 2021, including the two commemorative €2 coins, which in relief proof versions are available exclusively in this package.
