2 euro Slovakia 2021 - Alexander Dubček (proof pair)

Alexander Dubček, an important figure in Slovak and Czechoslovak history, was born 100 years earlier, in 1921. He was one of the principal representatives of the Prague Spring in 1968, when he sought to introduce democratising reforms within socialism. Dubček's vision of socialism with a human face remains a symbol of freedom and human rights. In honour of this figure, Slovakia issued a commemorative €2 coin in proof quality in 2021, available in a luxurious wooden case together with a silver €10 coin.
