In 2025, Luxembourg introduces a unique innovation – for the first time in history, commemorative €2 coins in BU cards are being issued in two versions: standard and colourised. Two coins will be issued at the same time: one for the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, which laid the foundations of European integration, and the other for the 25th anniversary of Grand Duke Henri’s accession to the throne. Both themes will be available in colourised and standard versions, with each version packaged separately in an official Luxembourg card.
