Luxembourg’s parliament has played a key role in the country’s democratic system for 175 years, symbolising the stability and political development of the Grand Duchy. Since its establishment in 1848, it has become the foundation of the legislative process and the protection of civil rights. In honour of this anniversary, a special €2 coin was issued recalling the historic importance of this institution.
The coin in BU quality is available in an official commemorative card bearing the “horn” and “square” marks.
