The Luxembourg €2 coin from 2015 commemorates the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the European flag, a symbol of unity, identity and cooperation among the member states of the European Union. The flag, consisting of twelve golden stars on a blue background, was officially adopted in 1985 as a symbol of the EU. The coin celebrates the importance of this symbol to European integration. It is in BU quality and presented in a commemorative card.
