Luxembourg’s national anthem “Ons Heemecht” has been a symbol of the country’s unity and national identity since its adoption in 1864. Its lyrics celebrate the beauty of the Luxembourg landscape and the pride of its people. To mark its important place in Luxembourg’s history, a special €2 coin with a unique motif was issued.
