The Fête de la Musique, created in France in 1981, gradually spread throughout the world and celebrates music in all its forms each year. The day brings together professional and amateur musicians who perform free of charge in streets, squares and concert venues. France commemorated the 30th anniversary of this distinctive tradition with a special €2 coin featuring a dynamic design.
