Finno-Ugric peoples include various ethnic groups speaking Finno-Ugric languages, including Finns, Estonians, Hungarians and a number of smaller ethnic groups in northern Russia. These peoples have rich cultural and historical traditions expressed in their languages, folklore and literature. Although geographically dispersed, they share common linguistic roots and many cultural elements.
