The Croatian €2 coin from 2025 commemorates 1,100 years of the Croatian Kingdom and the coronation of King Tomislav, who became the first ruler with the status of king in 925. The national side of the coin bears his portrait on horseback, accompanied by the Croatian chequerboard pattern and the inscriptions “KRALJ TOMISLAV”, “925”, “REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA” and “2025”. The motif expresses the historical importance of Tomislav’s reign and the tradition of the Croatian state.
The coin is struck in BU quality and housed in an original numbered commemorative card, with the mintage limited to only 5,000 pieces.
