The 2007 Portugal €2 coin “50 Years of the Treaty of Rome” is issued in BU quality and supplied in an official card (coincard). The Treaty of Rome, signed on 25 March 1957, established the European Economic Community and Euratom and represents one of the most important steps towards today’s European Union. It is a joint 2007 euro-area issue commemorating the beginnings of modern European integration.
