The Slovakia €10 Silver Collector Coin 2015 “UNESCO World Heritage – Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians” is dedicated to one of Europe’s most valuable natural forest ecosystems. The protected primeval beech forests are known for their exceptional biodiversity, untouched natural development and importance to the conservation of Europe’s natural heritage.
The coin’s design features a Eurasian lynx in the surroundings of a primeval beech forest, symbolising the rich wildlife and unspoiled character of the Carpathian landscape. Struck by the Kremnica Mint from silver with a fineness of 900/1000, the coin was designed by Karol Ličko.
